Character name: Ignis Scientia

Series name: Final Fantasy XV
Canon notes: Ignis returned to his world and urged Noctis to attempt to retake the Crystal that was stolen from Lucis. When Noctis is absorbed into it to sleep for the next ten years, Ignis returns to Lucis (first Lestallum and later Leide) to train with for Noctis’s awakening. He finds a Kingsglaive member alive to fight against and train himself to fight. In the meantime, he adjusts to being blind and learns to cook once more. When Noctis wakes up, Ignis, Gladio and Prompto meet up with him and journey into Insomnia to take back Lucis from Ardyn Izunia and the Neflheim Empire through numerous daemons and magitek soldiers. While Noctis dies in the fight against Ardyn, Ignis and the others live and they set forth to honor the promise they made to their king to bring back their kingdom after ten years of Darkness.

Arrival Condition: At this point in time, Ignis is canonically blind, but he has been so for a while now and has adjusted to fighting, cooking and living with the injury.
History: Ignis spent a great deal oftime trying to branch out and make friends with people on both his ships and the others. He started to read Braille through the hard work of Hermione Granger, whom he fell in love with. He supported Noctis during his marriage to Lunafreya and Prompto’s relationship with Kaname Buccaneer. He made friends with Tyrion Lannister and found solace in joking around with the other man about their positions at Hand of the King, but for totally different kings. He even found some enjoyment in the threats of Marian Hawke regarding his relationship, as it was, with Hermione Granger and the way that he treated her.
Personality: While Ignis’s personality remains mostly the same as his canon counterpart, his situation on the Fleet allowed him to be able to find himself a bit outside of being Noctis’s Hand. He was able to fall in love and smiled more. He joked about his disability with others and even showed off his fighting skills when the need showed up in fights. He never lost his loyalty to Noctis, but he did grow closer to Prompto while it was just the two of them for stretches of time. Due to the nature of his disability, he had to learn to let others help him and to admit when he needed it, but not that often.

Abilities: Ignis is able to summon spears and daggers thanks to his close relationship with Noctis, since that is a skill that only Lucian kings and their companions can do. He is also able to use magic spells that Noctis crafts out of the elemental energy they find on Eos. His battle skills include the ability to mark enemies, analyze their weakness, enhance Noctis’s attacks to prey upon said weaknesses, get the group to concentrate attacks on enemies, or regroup and heal up before attacking again. Otherwise, he is the tactician, the brains, of the party. He is also a terrific chef, near master’s level if one can believe the biased opinions of his friends and he has been trained to be Noctis’s steward, his Hand, and personal liaison while traveling.
